Chief of North Jakarta Satpol, Iyan Sopyan Hadi stated that the controlling was conducted because the street vendors often caused congestion.

Eventually, he told, they will be relocated to some locations. "But first they'll be recorded then after that relocated to Lontar, Tugu and Sindang Market. But only those street vendors who have Jakarta ID Card will be relocated," he asserted.

Marni (36), one of street vendors claimed surprised with the officers visit. "Sir, just let me hold my own merchandise, don't take them please," she asked.
