Normalization of Ciliwung River Reaches 40 Percent

The normalization work of Ciliwung River as long as 19 kilometers in East Jakarta has reached 40 percent. It is targeted to be complete at the end of the upcoming 2016.

Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC), Bastari disclosed the work conducted is the installation of plaster and construction of road inspection. So far, he continued, there is no obstacle in normalization work.

From total 19 kilometers, 1.9 kilometers out of them must undertake land acquisition in Kampung Pulo. The rest, there will be no land acquisition due to some riverbanks are empty from houses.
