Trash is dominated by wood, bamboo and tree branch

Head of Water Agency Technical Management Unit (UPT), Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Junjungan Sihombing disclosed, trash seen piled up in Rawa Jati Bridge and Manggarai Sluice Gate. Even, trash volume in West Flood Canal (KBB) continues to rise.

Three Pillars Asked to FInalize Flood Anticipation Preparation

As happened in rain last Sunday (11/15), he told, the river's trash filter managed to collect 50 trucks than regular days, which is only 15 trucks.

It is much reduced at early 2015, which were approximately 30 trucks per day.

The decline in trash volume during normal conditions is due to intensive trash handling in the river and the connecting channel. To capture trash, around 70 points of trash filter and 4,300 officers sent at all locations.

“The key is intensively sending officers to the field,” he expressed.
