Lampung Provincial Government is ready to assist 40 percent of city's staple foods distribution. They will supply rice, vegetables and meat.
"We have ability to assist Jakarta up to 40 percent," said Muhammad Ridho Ficardo, Lampung Governor, Monday (12/7).
Staple Food Price in West Jakarta Relatively StablePreviously, Jakarta Provincial Government had signed MoU with Lampung Provincial Government regarding this staple food distribution.
"But there is still problem for the distribution. The distribution sometimes did not distributed directly to the city, but to other cities," he added.
Moreover, Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama hoped the agreement can be optimized for the next six months.
Basuki is about to optimize several Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) such as PD Pasar Jaya, Dharma Jaya, and Tjipinang Food Station. Other are Dept. of Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Tenacity.
"Mr. Jokowi's concept is empowering the farmer. The distribution should be directly sent to Jakarta," Basuki uttered.
