Buildings on Kartini Connecting Channel Demolished

Teens of illegal buildings standing on Kartini 10 connecting channel, Kartini Urban Village, Central Jakarta, were demolished.

Kartini Urban Village Head, Leo Tantino stated that there are 15 buildings demolished today. The owners also have been given warning letter until demolishment warrant.

Based on Beritajakarta.com's observation, as many as 50 Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers assisted by residents demolished those semi-permanent buildings. Most of them have size 3x4 meters.

"Some of them have demolished their own building, the rests are us. The channel should be deepened again but it will be done gradually," he closed.
