City Administration is currently reviewing corridor 1 location of Transjakarta bus. This is because as the first phase construction of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) finished, it can overlap with the corridor.

I don’t agree if those two subsidized public transports competing each other

The first phase of the MRT construction is targeted to be finished in 2018.

Deputy Governor for Transportation Division, Sutanto Suhodo stated that the construction will impact against Transjakarta bus route. As the case of Blok M-Kota route that its location is still being reviewed.

“I don’t agree if those two subsidized public transports competing each other,” he uttered, Thursday (12/10).

Suhodo went on to say the review had referred to two possibilities. The options are eliminate or evaluate the route.

“The concern is we cannot serve route HI roundabout and Kota in case of elimination ” he closed.
