Standing on Water Channel, A RW Post Demolished

Due to standing on water channel, a post of RW 08, at Jalan Petojo Enclek 14, Petojo Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, demolished by Satpol PP, Tuesday (12/15).

We kept giving understanding that the building has violated the rules and then they finally agreed and helped the demolishment

Petojo Selatan Urban Village Head, Kamal stated that there had been rejection from the locals when the demolishment socialization. But after doing persuasive approaching, they finally agreed to demolish the building.

"We kept giving understanding that the building has violated the rules and then they finally agreed and helped the demolishment," he stated, Tuesday (12/15).

Chaotic, Residents Threw Chili Water to Officers

According to Kamal, raising resident awareness takes a long time. But, it is so important to do so that there will be no more building standing on social/public facilities.

"Currently, the channel is being repaired and on finishing step. It is only the post remaining, hoped the road would be free from puddle during rainy season," he hoped.

A unit of heavy equipment deployed to accelerate the process. The officers were assisted by locals putting up the material debris to the truck.
