Basuki: Crack Them Down

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama instructed ranks of Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishubtrans) to conduct raids against metromini (mini bus) earnestly. 

I told them to give no tolerance for unroadworthy metromini

This is done after the following accident against Metromini B 92 route Grogol-Ciledug hit 2 pedestrians on Jalan Meruya Utara, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Wednesday (12/16). The accident is alleged due to brake failure.

“I told them to give no tolerance for unroadworthy metromini,” he expressed at City Hall, Wednesday (12/16).

Basuki Wants Metromini to Be Abolished

Basuki admitted that he is currently looking for unscrupulous officer from Dishubtrans who dare to cheat on me. “Actually, I am monitoring Dishubtrans personnel whether they are really conducting raids or not,” he uttered.

Basuki seems to have basic question about metromini existence that still rampant. Whereas, Dishubtrans claimed that they was successfully grounded thousand of unroadworthy metromini.

Basuki at once assessed those metromini that are still operating are unroadworthy. His suspicion was based on following the case of fraud syndicate. For faking KIR license was revealed. “How come they can pass KIR test. That’s impossible,” he exclaimed.

Therefore, he requests the plate number against unroadworthy metromini that had been grounded for easy monitoring. “I am still investigating this case,” he stressed.
