Jakarta Provincial Government commits to continue the construction of sheet pile along 900 meters which passing Pesanggrahan River in Perdatam housing complex and Mini Kontri in Ulujami Urban Village, South Jakarta.

Tri Kurniadi, South Jakarta Mayor, said that the inundation around the area will decrease if the sheet pile construction is done.

“The pump in Mini Kontri and Perdatam keeps running. We’re ready with the flood,” he said, Sunday (12/20).

According to him, the construction is still postponed due to waiting the land buying process in National Land Board.

“The documents are being processed, but we need more personnel to complete the mapping,” he added.

His side has instructed Dept. of Water Management to provide a statement that the land has been paid.
