Land Acquisition Hampers Sheet Pile Installation in Pesanggrahan

The sheet pile installation process in Pesanggrahan River, South Jakarta is currently still constrained by land acquisition. Consequently, residential around the river is still inundated due to overflowing rivers.

I observed the location last week. The project with Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) is still on progress

Like in RT 08 and 10, RW 05 of Perdatam Complex, Ulujami, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. Considering, about 900 meters of the riverbank crossing the residential has not been installed with sheet piles.

Head of Jakarta Water Management Department, Teguh Hendrawan acknowledged there are some parts of the river not being installed with sheet pile since it is constrained by land acquisition.

Residents Hoped Sheet Pile in Pesanggrahan River

"I observed the location last week. The project with Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) is still on progress," he stated, Tuesday (12/15).

He told, the installation is done by Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office. As for the land acquisition is the authority of P2T Team of South Jakarta.

"So, it's not maximal yet since the land has not been acquired. Hopefully, the land acquisition could be done immediately," he closed.
