117 Buildings at Jalan Raya Warakas Demolished

Due to standing on a green belt, as many as 117 buildings at Jalan Raya Warakas, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, demolished by Joint officers.

The demolishment aims to refunction the green belt. We have warned the owners beforehand

Tanjung Priok Sub-District Head, Yusuf Majid stated that before the demolishment, the building owners have been given warning letter. Because by standing on green belt and using the building for trading has violated bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order.

62 Illegal Buildings at Jalan Tanah Pasir Demolished

Beritajakarta.com observation, those semi-permanent buildings are used as business place such as foods, pulse, machine shop even electronic service. To speed up the process, 2 units of heavy equipments were deployed to tear down the buildings.

"There are 175 personnel from PPSU, Satpol PP, Cleanliness PHL, and also police involved in the demolishment. Some of street vendors are relocated to Anyar Market, as for the others prefer to find other location," he explained.
