PT Food Station: Rice Stock Until the End of 2015 Is Still Safe

PT Food Station Tjipinang ensured rice stock until the end of 2015 is safe. Until last Monday (12/21), rice stock at Cipinang Induk Market's Warehouse reached 44,000 tons.

" Rice stock during Christmas and New Year is still safe ," said Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang, Arief Prasetyo Adi, Tuesday (12/22)

He told that keep running market operation in some points. The Highest Retail Price (HET) reaches Rp 8,300 per kilogram. "Residents don't need to worry, as the rice stock is still safe," he told.

Meanwhile, for 75,000 tons of rice at The Logistics Agency (Bulog) Divre Jakarta have been used partly to support market operation. The first stage have been taken as much as 100 tons. Then the second stage is 1,000 tons. "Currently the market operation has been running with rice supply from Bulog," he told.

According to him, currently the third stage is being proposed as much as 3,000 tons. The number of rice will be distributed for market operation in January-February.

"It's going to be our focus. Since it's entering scarcity season (musim panceklik). Due to El-Nino weather phenomenon, farmers just started planting in early December ago. For harvesting it takes 3 months," he explained.
