Bulog Approved City's Rice Stock Demand

The State Logistics Agency (Bulog) has approved City’s rice stock demand amounting 75 thousand tons. The current stock in Induk Market is about 34 thousand tons.

“We’ve got the approval,” said Arief Prasetyo  Adi, President Director of PT Tjipinang Food Station, Thursday (12/3).

Through this approval, market operation will be conducted simultaneously in 5 municipalities. “Collaborate with PD Pasar Jaya market operation will be conducted next week,” he uttered.

According to the plan, Adi continued market operation will be done by cashless system in accordance with Jakarta Governor’s request. For initial a 100 tons of rice stock will be distributed.

“We do this with cash less system like in Pasar Minggu, Kramat Jati and other markets,” he expressed.

Several facilities are being prepared for instance electronic data capture (EDC) machine in selected stores which rice will be distributed. “All traders must apply this system, thus we can monitor its buyer,” he said.

Adi continued, this operation will limit the purchase by maximal purchasing 50 kilogram per person. For the highest price offers is Rp 8,300 per kilogram. “Maximal purchasing is 50 kilograms only,” he remarked.
