Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department evacuated a car transporting catfishes, which fell into Sunter River, Kemayoran, Monday morning (12/28). Tens of personnel and heavy equipment were also deployed to lift the car.

When the car was about to maneuver for turning to left, it went straight fastly

Based on information gathered, the incident of the fallen car license plate B 9074 UAM occured at 4 AM. The car which carried 7 quintal of catfishes was from Serdang Inpres Market towards some markets in Pademangan, North Jakarta.

"When the car was about to maneuver for turning to left, it went straight fastly. Consequently, it plunged into the river, but the driver survives ," said Central Jakarta PKP Sub-Department, Idris DN.

Besides deploying 20 personnel, as many as 2 units of Light Rescue and 1 unit of Heavy Duty Rescue Truck also sent to the field. Currently, the car and its driver are still at Kemayoran Sub-District Office while waiting for other transporter car.

"It's still waiting other cars to transport the catfishes," he closed.
