Neighborhood Trash Workers will Be Recruited to Be PPSU Officer

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, promised will recruit neighborhood trash workers to be Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers.

To avoid any jealousy, we would like to recruit neighborhood trash workers. So RT and RW don't charge the salary anymore. let them work with us

He said, to become PPSU officers is no need special requirements as long as they have Jakarta ID Card.

PPSU Recruitment in West Jakarta will Be Tightened

"To avoid any jealousy, we would like to recruit neighborhood trash workers. So RT and RW don't charge the salary anymore. let them work with us," said Basuki at City Hall, Monday (12/28).

He continued, by recruiting the workers then eventually cleanliness fund paid by residents will be put in city treasury.

"All of the fund will be put into City treasury. Even residents can pay for a year. We are making the program for next year, i've assigned it," he stated.

He asserted that he will not hesitate to dismiss lazy PPSU, because the salary given is quite high that is in accordance to Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

"So eventually the people who work in neighborhood receive the same salary," he disclosed
