Basuki Won't Forbid Fireworks Party, As Long As It Has Permission

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama will not forbid fireworks party during New Year's Eve as long as have permission from police.

To hold fireworks party, he appealed citizens to be careful and cooperating with professional side. "As long as have permission from police. It's okay. No prohibition," he said, at City Hall, Tuesday (12/29).

He reminded citizens to beware of fire incident if holding big scale fireworks party.

Fireworks will Be Shown at Jembatan Cinta

Jakarta Provincial Government will center the new year's party in Ancol, North Jakarta. In the location, there will be fireworks party. Meanwhile, car free night event will still be held yet there will be no stage. Considering  Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is being constructed along Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin.

He has also instructed every mayor to hold event in their each area. Thus citizens have choice to celebrate the New Year's Eve.
