Dredged Mud Left Pilling Up at Riverside

Mud dredged from Baru River in front of Cililitan Wholesaler Center (PGC), Kramat Jati, has been left pilling up at the riverside since September ago until this time.

It's supposed to be dredged and transported by Water Management Department

Filter Operator of Baru River's Mechanic Electronic Hydraulic (MEH), Ahmad Suryanegara stated that, previously a unit of mini-amphibian owned by Cleanliness Workers Unit (UPK) of Water Management for Cleanliness Department was deployed to transport trash piles from the river.

"The trash has been clean in 1-2 hours. Next, the mud is dredged to smoothen the water flow," he stated, Tuesday (12/29).

Until this time, he continued, the dredging still keep being done to anticipate siltation.

However, he claimed, his side has to pile up the dredged mud at the riverside as could not find other place to dispose the mud.

"It's supposed to be dredged and transported by Water Management Department. I hope the related unit to do it soon," he hoped.
