Strewn with Mud, Water Channel in Kampung Complained by Locals

Residents living in Kampung Bandan, Ancol Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-District, North Jakarta, are requesting related unit to immediately dredge water channel along Kampung Bandan. This is because the channel is strewn with mud and water cannot flow smoothly.

Relaying on beritajakarta.com's data, the water surface is already in line with road. It looked on the right side of Jalan Kampung Bandan from Taman sari towards Kampung Bandan. The channel has 1.5 meters width and 500 meters length always spilling into the street.

Channel Along Jalan Logistik Needs Dredging

The stick channel sediment was also worsening its condition. Consequently, the water quickly spills out onto the street and inundated as high as 20 centimeters.

Jumadi, (42), a resident stated the condition has been in exist more than 10 years. “Water in channel is from locals,” he expressed, Friday (10/16).

Pademangan Sub-District Head, Musa Safrudin uttered his side is currently focused on cleaning of the channel from trash. His side has repeatedly depleted sediment by doing dredging.
