Basuki Invited Jokowi to Conduct Jumat Prayer at City Hall

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama invited Indonesian President, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to conduct Jumat prayer at City Hall on Friday (1/15). Considering Fatahillah Mosque construction located at City Hall Complex has been completed. The statement was conveyed by Basuki, when he visited to Presidential Palace on Thursday (1/7) noon.

"I invited Mr. Jokowi to do Jumat prayer at our City Hall's Mosque. I also requested him to inaugurate the Agung Mosque in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta." said Basuki, at City Hall, Thursday (1/7).

Basuki Told Jokowi to Focus on River and Reservoir

The City Hall's mosque construction is the idea of Basuki. The groundbreaking was conducted by him on September 18, 2015. It is targeted can be complete at the end of last December.

Such construction process took three months that managed by PT Ganiko. It is in line with renovation of Block D City Hall by spending Rp 18.8 billion.

Initially, the location was occupied by a small mosque that can accommodate 400 pilgrims. Then for the current mosque, has two floors and can accommodate 1,513 pilgrims. The first floor has 410 square meters wide and second floor has 594 meters wide.
