Jakarta Provincial Government is very seriously preparing supporting facilities and infrastructures for the upcoming 2018 Asian Games. Any constraints also quickly look for solutions, thus the preparation can be done properly.

"We're serious, our problem is human resource. We wanted to break the rules but afraid, do not dare to take the decision," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, at City Hall, Tuesday (1/12).

One of the things done by Basuki is by encouraging PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to keep working on renovation of the Velodrome.

"Last night we had decided that PT Jakpro should be able to renovate the Velodrome. If not, they must resign, follows with its trustees," he stressed.

He was disappointed because PT Jakpro not conduct auction since last year. Thus, the renovation only has time 20 months.

"Progress must go through auction, but why they did not do it since last year. That's why I was upset," he expressed.

He acknowledged that he deliberately appointed Jakpro to speed up the renovation. If the auction is through Jakarta BPPBJ, it will take a long time.

"I chose them because they are flexible, more professional, smarter, have high salary, etc, but please your understanding. I have given a clue, if you give up, just resign," he closed.
