Basuki Tetap Paksa Jakpro Renovasi Velodrome

Basuki Remains Encourage Jakpro to Renovate Velodrome

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama will remain encourage PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to renovate the Velodrome. As planned, if they give up, they will be replaced with another party.

We have no choice. If Jakpro gives up, I want them to resign soon

"We'll continue to encourage Jakpro to renovate the Velodrome. We have time about 20 months for this," he expressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (1/12).

PT Jakpro Gives Up to Renovate Velodrome

He added the Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) has summoned PT Jakpro to convince them.

"Last night, they held a meeting with Mr. Heru (Head of BPKAD). I hope the auction can be done soon, considering we already know the specifications that will be developed," he told.

The renovation itself cannot be handed over to Jakarta Sports and Youth Department, because the time is tight. Thus we do not have time to re-conduct auction by Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ).

"We have no choice. If Jakpro gives up, I want them to resign soon," he stressed.

As reported earlier, Jakpro resigned as a contractor to renovate the Velodrome for Asian Games 2018. The city administration has obligation to renovate two venues, namely Velodrome and Equestrian (horse racing).
