Inundation in Grogol Terminal Quickly Subsided

The dredging of river and connecting channel (PHB) in Grogol keeps being carried out prior to rainy season. Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, Tuesday (1/26), in Grogol Terminal, West Jakarta, the channel as wide as two meters is clean enough from garbage.

This year, the terminal is safe from inundation than last year

In Grogol area, precisely at Jalan Susilo and bus terminal is always inundated when rain pours the city.

As experienced by Nono (37), a street vendor in Grogol Terminal. He told, the terminal is often inundated up to one meter. But, this year, the terminal is safe from inundation, even though rain has been pouring the city lately.

"The water level reaches 10-30 centimeters and quickly subsided. This year, the terminal is safe from inundation than last year," he told.

He also praised the performance of the PPSU officer who cleaned the channel regularly.

"They are routinely controlling and cleaning up the channel. That's why the water quickly subsided," he stated.
