Normalization and Draining System Programmed in W. Jakarta

West Jakarta Administration programmed normalization and draining system in Kapuk Urban Village. Later on, the system will be conducted in Irigasi Kapuk River and connecting channel (PHB) of Jakarta Outer Ring Road Toll (JORR) and micro channel in citizen settlement.

Head of West Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept, Imron said hundreds of permanent buildings and illegal stalls in Irigasi Kapuk River were already demolished by joint personnel of police, army and police. As for further action, the river located behind Kapuk Urban Village office will be normalized.

"The river will be widened and its deep can reach three meters. Afterwards, the water level will decrease. It is targeted to be complete in a month," he told, Monday (2/1).

His side also plans to drain the channel around Jakarta Outer Ring Road Toll that passes Meruya area, Kembangan until Kapuk, Cengkareng, until Kamal area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Aside that, along with cleanliness freelancer and urban village PPSU officer, his side will also drain sediment in the channel. "Similar thing will also be done in Jelambar area," he finished.
