March, ITF Sunter Construction Begins

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat ensures the Integrated Waste Management Site (TPST) will be built in the city or locally known as Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) in the upcoming March. Its certainty was following the approval of the Presidential Decree (Perpres) on accelerated development of renewable electricity through waste management on Friday (2/5) yesterday.

The first one is we build ITF Sunter, Insha Allah, it could be realized in the upcmong March

"Perpres is already agreed. Insha Allah (willing to God), it will be announced and issued next week," expressed Djarot, after he became Keynote Speaker in national seminar, Plaza Building, Jalan Pramuka Raya No. 150, Central Jakarta, Saturday (2/6).

He disclosed, ITF will be placed in Sunter area, North Jakarta, which is not far from North Jakarta District Court (PN).

"The first one is we build ITF Sunter, Insha Allah, it could be realized in the upcmong March," he told.

After that, the city administration is going to do the same in Marunda, Cakung-Cilincing (Cacing) and Duri Kosambi areas.

Besides Jakarta, Perpres becames basic legal for Bandung, Makasar, Tangerang and Surabaya. These cities will also a pilot of waste management that generate electricity.
