SKPD Requested to Accelerate Development Programs

Since the 2014 City Budget (APBD) as much as Rp 72 trillion has been disbursed on last March, Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) requested the Regional Working Units (SKPD) to immediately carry out development programs which have been planned before.

It (APBD) should have been disbursed in January. However, although the council has approved it since October 2013, the budget was finally disbursed in early March 2014

For that reason, that number one man in Jakarta gathered SKPD ranks and reminded them to accelerate the development.

Jokowi Warns SKPD to Spend City Budget Wisely

“If I didn’t remind you, November will be coming without we even realize it, and December is already rainy season. Then we’ll do the work (development programs) like a race,” he expressed.

This former Surakarta Mayor added that the development plans are already final and now just waiting for the implementation. After three months running, he will make evaluation and still running management control, supervised by Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama.

“The supervision and employees’ coaching are handled by Vice Governor,” he finished.
