TMII Performs Bali Night Sutasoma Play

To increase the number of local and foreign visitors, manager of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) will present the Images of 33 Province Traditions in Indonesia which will be held from April 17 to 20, 2014. This event is also in line with TMII 9th Anniversary theme, “My Homeland One Indonesia".

The Bali Night Sutasoma will be performed in a play that will involve 150 actors and artist as well as actors and artists from Bali province

One of the events that will be presented is Bali Night Sutasoma, a play adaptated from Hindu Scripture Sutasoma. This performance will be showed on April 20 and is targeted to 100 thousand visitors who are enjoying the long holiday weekend by next weekend.

TMII Operation Director, Ade F Meiliala said that the story is lifted from Sutasoma should be lift to the public so that they can easily recognize a national history and cultural heritage. This play will tell a story about a king who was able to unite his people and strengthen the unity and integrity of his country. Because of that, Unity in Diversity appeared to best sentence describing this story. "The Bali Night Sutasoma will be performed in a play that will involve 150 actors and artist as well as actors and artists from Bali province," said Ade, Friday (4/11).

Ade acknowledged that the entire cost of the play stage borne entirely by Bali provincial government. Later, the dialog using in this play will use Indonesia language. "We will spread out 2,000 invitations to representatives of various groups ranging from ambassadors of friendly countries, the secretary position in the Indonesian provinces, foreign guests, cultural communities, businessmens and others.
