Basuki: Construction of Six Inner-City Toll Road Already Late

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama revealed that six inner-city toll roads construction already late. It is supposed to be started last year, because two segments are hoped could support the implementation of 2018 Asian Games.

"Six inner-city toll roads construction is too late. Supposedly, it should have been running since last year, but the fact is null," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (2/22).

His party has proposed takeover plan to run the construction. If it is refused, he will request Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing to speed up the project. Unluckily, they have not responded.

He hopes, such construction could be realized soon. Considering it is also connected to Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).

"Actually I don't agree with toll road in the city. But it was already running, so let us support. But don't take a long time, because we are still having homework," he stated.
