6 Streets in West Jakarta Submerged

A heavy rain that poured the city early Wednesday (2/24) night until Thursday (2/25) morning has left several streets in West Jakarta inundated, with varying water levels.

West Jakarta Water Management Taskforce is currently doing suctioning using portable pump

Based on the data gathered from West Jakarta Disaster Mitigation, puddle inundates six streets due to rain this morning. They are Jalan Pesing Poglar RW 01, Kedaung Kaliangke Urban Village (5-10 cm); Jalan Kumbang, Pegadungan Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-district (40-50 cm); Jalan Alam Timur, Kalideres Urban Village (20 cm); Jalan Peternakan 2 RW 07, Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district (10-20 cm); Jalan Kapuk Raya Gg. Masjid RW 05 until Gg. Sinar RW 02 Kapuk, West Jakarta (10-15 cm) and Jalan JORR Cengkareng or Cengkareng Timur Sluice Gate (5 cm).

Head of West Jakarta Disaster Mitigation, Firmanudin said, puddle as high as 5-7 cm in Pesing Poglar RW 01 is triggered by slope of street and heavy rain.

The Burnt Transjakarta Bus was Submerged 30 Hours

"West Jakarta Water Management Taskforce is currently doing suctioning using portable pump," he reported.
