Head of Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Department, Nandar Sunandar said that such destruction is a crime action. Therefore, his party will try to find the perpetrators and give them a deterrent effect sanctions for other perpetrators lesson. As known since last year, the city administration put as many as 340 benches along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin until Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat. The procurement of park benches was funded by the private sector. According to the plan, the number of park benches will be put in South Jakarta and Central Jakarta as well.
