Zoning Bylaw Strengthens City Position

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said has no idea why the ratification of Coastal and Small Islands Zoning Plan Bylaw (RZWP3K) is late. According to him, the ratification is already based on Home Ministry instruction.

“Home ministry has asked to ratify the bylaw. We have to issue the zoning bylaw,” he said, Monday (3/7).

Bylaw discussion, he added, is  also based on Bylaw 1995 and Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 1995. If the zoning is not regulate in bylaw, developers would do reclamation wildly.

Previously, city council has scheduled to hold meeting about zoning bylaw on Monday (3/7), but the meeting was canceled. Similar cancellation was also done several times.
