Vendors Riot, Outlets Drawing in Koja Postponed

Drawing process of Blok B outlets, Coaching Area (Lokbin) corridor 103, Koja, Tuesday (4/15), ended chaotic. Most vendors that asked for outlets quota without drawing argued with prioritized vendors. The drawing was finally postponed to avoid riots.

As many as 89 vendors are prioritized directly getting their outlets. They get their outlets in first floor, because they are predecessor vendors and consistent in selling. The drawing was run for 224 other vendors. The location consists of 3 floors and 224 outlets.

One of the vendors, Henny (39), said that she did not want to be clashed with another vendors. But, the quota given to priorities vendors is not fair.

Jokowi Forbids Old Vendors Return to Blok G Market

Responding the matter, Jakarta Head of UPT Lokbin for Dept. of Cooperative, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise, Orada Sinurat, expressed the next process of outlet drawing will be decided after communication between his side and vendors.

"We have to postpone the drawing. Hopefully further discussion will provide the best for all," he expressed.
