Chill Supply in Pasar Induk Kramat Jati Declines

Due to high price of chili in Pasar Induk Kramat Jati traditional market, its supply also declines. It is because farmers newly start planting.

Last week’s supply was 88 tons, and this week is 76 tons per day

Nurman Adhi, market’s manager, admitted that chili supply declines up to 50 percent. Chili stock in East and Central Java is also low.

Based on his note, chili supply in first week of February was 115 tons, then 111 tons in second week, 101 tons in third week, and 98 tons in fourth week.

Chili Price Hits Sharp Rise Up to 100 Percent

“Last week’s supply was 88 tons, and this week is 76 tons per day,” he said, Tuesday (3/15).

Compared to last week, the supply declines 14 percent. But the daily supply declines up to 49 percent. If compared to last month, the supply declines 50 percent.
