A long weekend is usually used by residents to enjoy a number of tourist sites. Therefore, in anticipation of the Easter holiday which falls on Friday (3/25), the Satpol PP would stand guard at tourist sites in Jakarta.

Guard will be started from toll gate until inside

Jakarta Satpol PP Vice Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko disclosed some tourist sites that will be guarded are Monas, Kota Tua, Ragunan, TMII and Ancol.

"Guard will be started from toll gate until inside," he expressed, Thursday (3/24).

It is done to anticipate crime action, like pickpocket. "We help security, including coordination with the Transportation Dept to manage traffic, we will guard from the morning until the activity in tourist site has been relatively quiet," he finished.
