Easter Mass at Cathedral Church Secured by Hundreds of Joint Personnel

Hundreds of policemen and Satpol PP personnel are on guard around the Cathedral Church, Central Jakarta. It is conducted to provide security for Christians who are celebrating Easter Mass, Sunday (4/20).

Aside the joint personnel, there are also 85 security officers prepared by the Cathedral Church committee

City Police Public Relations Division Chief Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said the security involves 112 policemen, 10 Sawah Besar Koramil personnel, and 5 Satpol PP personnel.

“From those policemen, five are members of City Police Bomb Squad and 12 are traffic police officers,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Sawah Besar Sector Police Chief Comr. Shinto Silitonga explained that those hundreds of personnel are spread to different spots, inside and outside the church as well as in the parking lots.

The Easter Mass itself is held at the Cathedral Church at 6 AM, 7.30 AM, 9 AM, 11 AM, and 6 PM.
