January-March, Satpol PP Personnel Removed 135 Billboards

Throughout January-March 2016, Jakarta Satpol PP has controlled 135 illegal billboars in five cities in Jakarta.

From January-March, there are totally 135 billboards removed and brought to Satpol PP Warehouse in Cakung, East Jakarta

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Jupan Royter said that hundreds billboards with various sizes were controlled due to violated permit and stood atop in forbidden areas.

"Controlling is done in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation No. 244/2015 on Guidelines for the Implementation of Advertising," he disclosed, Thursday (3/31).

Illegal Billboards at Jalan Gajah Mada Controlled

Head of Infrastructure Order for Jakarta Satpol PP, Partono added, most billboards were controlled due to unlicensed and validity period.

"The rest are controlled because stood atop forbidden areas, precisely on protocol roads," he told.

He details, the billboard size is varied, from 1x3 meters up to 6x12 meters. Controlling itself targeted boards, poles and construction billboards.

"From January-March, there are totally 135 billboards removed and brought to Satpol PP Warehouse in Cakung, East Jakarta," he expressed.

He continued that controlling was mostly intensified in some areas in South Jakarta. They are Jalan Gatot Subroto and Jalan MT Haryono.

"On both roads, we controlled 96 poles of stainless billboard," he said.

Partono added that billboard content is about cigarette, coffee, cell phone, property until supermarket.

"At some points, we also stop billboard pole construction because it has not completed permit," he finished.
