Sleepy, a Reporter Severely Injured after Hitting Dump Truck

Because of reckless, a driver of Daihatsu Xenia B 1965 NFQ injured quite badly after the vehicle hit a dump truck at KM 03.800, Jagorawi Toll, East Jakarta, Sunday (4/20), at around 5 AM. As a result, the victim named Reza Putra Ramadhan (24), an online media reporter, had to be rushed to UKI Hospital, Cawang, to get treatment.

Based on the information gathered, the accident happened when Ramadhan was driving on fast lane from Jakarta towards Cikampek. Without any cause, he suddenly switched to slow lane and hit a dump truck that was running slowly. Allegedly, he was sleepy.

East Jakarta Resort Police Traffic Accident Unit Chief AKP Agung Budi Leksono said the truck that was hit is still unidentified because it went straight to Cikampek. As for Ramadhan, he immediately stopped his vehicle on roadside. His vehicle is damaged badly on the front side.

“The victim is also severely injured. His mouth, ears, and nose were bleeding, and his forehead torn. He was suddenly unconscious,” stated Leksono while telling that the victim is a resident of Jalan Antareja No. 126, RT 04/03, Jati Kramat, Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java.

Moreover, Leksono admitted that Jagorawi Toll KM 03 is indeed prone to accident, the same as KM 09-11. Such a thing is because the condition of the road is wavy. Thus, drivers have to be more aware and should not sleepy when riding vehicles.
