Jakarta Dept. of Transportation denied if motorcycle prohibition on Jalan Sudirman is implement on May 1. The prohibition will be applied after purchasing of 600 Transjakarta buses is complete.

Motorcycle prohibition on Jalan Sudirman held on May 1 is hoax

“Motorcycle prohibition on Jalan Sudirman held on May 1 is hoax,” said Sunardi Sinaga, vice of agency, Monday (4/25).

According to him, before applying motorcycle prohibition on Jalan Sudirman, there are two things to be done. First is completing the 600 buses purchasing and operate them in May. Second is eliminating slow and fast lane on Jalan Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin.

At this moment, the policy of motorcycle prohibition is only applied on Jalan MH Thamrin up to Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat. Later on, it will widened up to Jalan Sudirman.
