Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama acknowledged that he had received the Rustam Effendi's resignation letter as Mayor of North Jakarta. Temporarily, the post would be handled by Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta, Wahyu Haryadi that was appointed as the Acting (Plt).

"I've appointed Wahyu Haryadi as Acting Head of North Jakarta Mayor. This is just temporary. Considering echelon-II selection is still under process," disclosed Basuki, after inauguration the Mawar RPTRA, in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Tuesday (4/26).
He disclosed he could not stop Rustam intention to resign. Besides, he did not tell the reason why.
Rustam Effendi Proposed His Resignation"I have no choice. I also do not intend to demote him. If he wants it, I cannot stop him," he exclaimed.
Nevertheless, he said Rustam's performance is pretty good. "His performance is good so far. Not bad," he told.
In the near future, he is going to propose the candidates to replace him to Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD). Considering mayor inauguration must involve them.
"DPRD only give recommendation. Decision remains in me," he stressed.
