Basuki Sit with Jokowi Discussing Reclamation

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama attended in a limited meeting along with Indonesian President, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo in the Presidential Palace. The meeting is about reclamation in Jakarta Bay.

In the meeting, we bring two documents. There are 17 islands where three islands have not been upgraded, namely O, P and Q. We want president to add N Island

As planned, Basuki wanted to request the widening port of Jakarta. From initial, there are only three islands, namely O, P and Q, Plus N.

Basuki to Discuss Reclamation with Ministries

Basuki intends to imitate the Rotterdam Port in developing such islands. The government will also have stocks in the Jakarta Port with 30-70 percent division.

"The central government gets 30 percent and Rotterdam 60 percent. That is what we do," he told.

He continued, island utilization cannot be discussed if the bylaw about zonation is not yet ratified. "We are just waiting for ratification of the bylaw. This is different with Pantura case," he closed.
