Pejagalan Illegal Parking Controlled

Tens of joint personnel controls illegal parking at RW 16, Pejagalan Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Wednesday (4/23). It is aimed to ease water basin of rain construction.

Penjaringan Sub-district party responded the resident's disquiet related to illegal parking. About 60 joint personnel of public order agency (Satpol PP), army, and police controlled the area.

Previously in October 2013, tens of illegal buildings around the are had been controlled. In fact, the area was turned into container truck parking lot as Dept. of Public Works stalling to construct the basin.

One More Reservoir under Construction

Head of Penjaringan Sub-district Rudiyanto said the control is aimed to prevent unwanted things such as illegal parking.

"Besides tore down fences and eight illegal buildings, we also normalized closed water channel used as parking lot," Rusdiyanto said.

According to him, basin construction done by Water Management for Sub-dept. of Public Works is still in water channel normalization along 3 km around the area.

"The closed water channel often inundated Pluit Karang. We hoped the related unit will construct basin as soon as possible," he added.
