E-Parking is Effective to Eliminate Illegal Parking Attendant

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama believes that the Electronic Parking Site (TPE) can eliminate illegal parking attendant in the capital. Until now, it has been applied in three locations.

"All TPEs have been installed, it can eliminate illegal parking attendant," he stated, at City Hall, Wednesday (4/27).

He wants it can be applied to all on-street parking. Besides illegal parking attendant, it could also increase local revenue.

TPE Installation in Mangga Besar Supported By Parking Attendant

As known, TPE procurement last year was failed. As planned, the it would be installed in 378 roads. Jakarta Financial and Asset Management Board (BPKAD) will conduct another auction this year.

Its installation is proven able to increase local revenue, starting from Jalan Agus Salim (Sabang), parking transaction per day from Rp 500 thousand becomes Rp 12 million.

Then is Jalan Boulevard Kelapa Gading, from Rp 470 thousand becomes Rp 40 million per day, and Jalan Falatehan from Rp 280 thousand becomes Rp 6-7 million per day.
