Luar Batang Mosque will Be the Icon of Religious Tourism

Jakarta Provincial Government is currently focused on the arrangement of the Pasar Ikan area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. As planned, the Luar Batang Mosque will be transformed into a religious tourism icon in the area.

Deputy Governor for Spatial Planning and Environment, Oswar Muadzin Mungkasa said, the arrangement should be done first before transforming the mosque into tourism icon.

"Luar Batang wants to be a religious tourism icon in Jakarta," he stated, Saturday (4/30).

History Values in Marine Tourism will Be Revived

Such mosque which is a cultural heritage, is always visited by residents from and outside Jakarta for pilgrimage. Later on, Jakarta government will provide extensive parking thus visitors could be more comfortable.

"At the front, there will be a plaza but not at the parking lot. The city provides money to build it," he told.

Around mosque, will be made with five special zones. Street vendors would also accommodated where can make souvenirs to visitors.

"There has been actual designation, like green open space and government zone," he closed.
