East Jakarta Applies Concrete Layer for Damaged Road

Riders passing on Jalan Raya Tipar Cakung, Cakung are hoped to be careful since rain in few days ago has caused inundation and damaged the road. In order to avoid casualty, residents demanded the relevant agencies to immediately repair the road.

The road repair will use concrete-layered system because it is more waterproof

Ichsan (40), a Cakung Barat resident, said that many damage roads due to the inundation.

“The road is very dangerous because of the hole covered with inundation, especially the road is often passed by huge veicles. I hope it can be repaired soon,” he said on Thursday (4/24).

Many Damaged Roads in East Jakarta Need Repair

Head of Cakung Barat Urban Village, Wahyu Priastanto, stated that there have been many reports related to the damage of Jalan Raya Tipar Cakung. His party has sent a report to Public Work Department managing on sub-district roads.

“We have sent a report to Public Work Department managing on sub-district roads. In short time, it will be repaired,” Priastanto said.

Responding to that, Head Section of East Jakarta Road Maintenance, Arif Faizal Ritonga, said that damage road has been budgeted in the 2014 Public Work Department budget.

“The road repair will use concrete-layered system because it is more waterproof,” he explained.

Ritonga added that his side will also repair Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramatjati, East Jakarta as well.

“All damage streets will be repaired directly. We will respond it before there is any casualty,” he completed.
