Transjakarta Passenger Increased During 3 in 1 Abolition

The number of Transjakarta passenger was higher during 3 in 1 abolition trial.

In corridor 9, before trial was 35,595 people per day. It became 40,664 people per day in first week trial and 40,690 in third week

Before the trial, passenger number was 61,959 people per day in corridor 1. It became 68,060 per day during the first week trial.

In second week trial was 65,190 people and third week trial was 66,036 people. The increasing percentage for first week was 9.84 percent, second week 5.74 percent, and third week 6.58 percent.

3 in 1 Not Significantly Reduce Traffic Jam

“In corridor 9, before trial was 35,595 people per day. It became 40,664 people per day in first week trial and 40,690 in third week,” said Andri Yansyah, Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Tuesday (5/10).

As for free bus, from 1,002 passengers to 2,501 passengers in first week trial. Then 3,493 people in second week and 3,520 people in third week.

Andri added that his side will coordinate with police to arrange traffic light for Transjakarta bus. Cooperation will be also tightened with Dept. of Bina Marga to speed Transjakarta lane separator.

Those efforts are aimed to attract more people using public transports.
