Street Lights Along Jl I Gusti Ngurah Rai Went Out

A number of street lights that installed on Jl I Gusti Ngurah Rai, precisely from Pondok Kopi Flyover until Buaran junction are malfunctioned. 

The bridge looks creepy at night. The condition is very prone to criminal, so dark here

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, Thursday (6/2) dawn, Jl I Gusti Ngurah Rai looks dark due to malfunctioned street light. Even, it makes the pedestrian bridge and Buaran Transjakarta bus stop dark. Moreover, the bridge is used by local people as a means of crossing after getting out of Transjakarta bus.

Rivers in Jakarta Must Have Street Light

As experienced by Sumartini (35), one of a pedestrian bridge user admitted she fretted when passing on the bridge due to dark. Lighting is only aided by a passing vehicle. She also turns on her cell phone's lamp to light up the bridge deck. It is feared that this dark conditions used criminals to commit crime.

"The bridge looks creepy at night. The condition is very prone to criminal, so dark here," she expressed.

She hoped related unit to quickly fix it. 

Responding on this matter, Head of East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept, Nurhidayat admitted has yet to know about this matter. But he promised to immediately follow up it.

"We'll handle it as soon as possible," he stated.

According to him, lighting on the highway and pedestrian bridge is the authority of his section. But for lighting at the bus stop, lies in Jakarta Transportation Dept.
