Residents Could Monitor Commodity Prices via IPJ

The city administration launched a Jakarta Food Info (IPJ) application. Through this application, people can find in food prices of various commodities in the capital every day.

People can see commodity price growth every day

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, through transparency in food prices, there will be a price stability which will reduce the potential economic turmoil in the region.

"People can see commodity price growth every day," he stated, at Golf Driving Range, Senayan, Thursday (6/2).

Low-Price Staples in Pondok Indah Demanded by Residents

He went on the say that food prices that monitored is focused on 34 major commodities in 12 markets that spread in Jakarta. Such application is made to reduce the accumulation of people negative expectations due to lack of balanced information that could potentially lead to price fluctuations.

"Lack of information among people is worried able to influence stability of macro economic," he expressed.

The application can be accessed through http://infopangan.jakarta.go.id/ and mobile application after being downloaded on google play for android and app store for iOS with keyword "Info Pangan Jakarta" or the same with Jakarta Food Info.

He added, it has early warning system feature. This helps the decision-makers to monitor price growth. Also in case of significant price hikes, could be soon responded

"Markets coverage that surveyed in the Jakarta Food Info also has been increased to 44 markets," he closed.
