Sex Worker in Kebayoran Baru Netted

50 joint personnel of Satpol PP, army/police and P3S under South Jakarta Social Sub-dept held a raid towards people with social and welfare issues (PMKS) at some areas of Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, Saturday (6/4) dawn.

The personnel did sweeping Jalan Melawai Raya, Terminal gate and around Blok M, Jalan Falatehan, Jalan Sultan Hasannudin, and TL CSW. As result, they managed to secure 9 PMKS who consist of 5 sex workers (PSK), 1 shemale, 1 street musician, and 2 beggars.

After being recorded, two out of nine PMKS are identified as citizens of Kebayoran Baru, and the rest are from Pondok Pinang, Tanah Abang, Ciputat, Kebayoran Lama, and Cipayung.

The personnel also had secured a man who was dropping off a sex worker. When being questioned, the driver admitted that he is her husband.

"The driver is her husband, we also found his marriage book but doesn't have ID Card. He is allegedly employing her wife as a sex worker. But the authenticity of marriage book is still in doubt," said Head of Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, Fidiyah Rokhim.

He added, the raid is conducted to welcome the fasting month, considering they would continue to come for the mercy of the citizens.

"Not only today, we will also do the same thing at night, considering Ramadhan is getting closer,' he stressed.

After data recording from Melawai Urban Village office, the PMKS then brought to the social institution for guidance.
