Rawa Belong Milkfish Festival 2026 Held this Weekend

West Jakarta City Administration is about to hold Rawa Belong Milkfish Festival 2026 on February 14-15, on Jalan Sulaiman.

West Jakarta Mayor, Iin Mutmainah said the Rawa Belong Milkfish Festival is not just about selling milkfish, but is a tradition and culture of the Betawi people that must continue to be maintained and preserved together.

"This festival is part of an effort to preserve local wisdom and Betawi traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation," she said.

Iin hopes that the Rawa Belong Milkfish Festival 2026 will be more orderly and lively, and will have a positive economic impact on the surrounding community.

Naman Setiawan, the Executive Chairman of the Rawa Belong Milkfish Festival 2026, stated that his team is still consolidating and conducting socialization to residents around the event location, particularly regarding traffic management and street vendor arrangements during the festival.

"Jalan Sulaiman is an area with heavy traffic and economic activity. We strive to ensure the festival runs smoothly and provides tangible benefits to residents," he stated.

The West Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency also provided support for the festival's implementation.

They will provide technical support such as MC, backdrop, photo booth, and entrance gate.

Moreover, the sub-agency also opens opportunities for cultural collaboration, including presenting Barongsai attractions involving the Chinese community as part of Jakarta's cultural richness.
