"So, from February 13th to 17th, we celebrate Chinese New Year. Then, interestingly, from the 17th to the 18th, we transition into Ramadan," he said, Wednesday (2/11).

To welcome Ramadan, Rano added, the Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared a change to the theme of its Chinese New Year activities. The Ramadan program will be held for approximately two weeks.

"Two weeks before Eid al-Fitr, the Jakarta Provincial Government has also prepared a number of programs," he added.

In addition to the decorative lighting program, according to Rano, his party has prepared an entertainment package in collaboration with a number of hotels and shopping centers.

Following this, the Jakarta Provincial Government has also planned a program to celebrate Nyepi Day. Jakarta plans to present Ogoh-ogoh directly from Bali on March 8th.

Around the same time, Rano continued, the Jakarta Provincial Government will install penjor-penjor in the HI Roundabout area.

"This series of holiday celebration activities is a real manifestation of Jakarta being full of color," he continued.

Besides enlivening the city, Rano emphasized that this celebration is also a real manifestation of Bhineka Tunggal Ika.

"We give space to our brothers and sisters who are celebrating even though we are different," he said.
