Alcohol and Food Surveillance on Panggang Island Intensified

The Seribu Utara Island District's Satpol PP monitored the circulation of alcoholic beverages and expired products in Pulau Panggang Urban Village. This activity was carried out as an effort to maintain public order during Ramadan.

Head of Seribu Utara Island District, Yulihardi said this supervision is a preventive measure to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community in welcoming Ramadan.

"We want to ensure a conducive atmosphere. Furthermore, food and beverages circulating in the community are safe and fit for consumption, so that residents can run their fast in peace," he said, Wednesday (2/18).

He added that supervision is carried out persuasively by prioritizing coaching for business owners to be more careful in checking the production date and expiration date of the products sold.

Head of Seribu Utara District Satpol PP, Edi Syahrudi explained, personnel checked several stalls at RT 02, 06, and RT 07, RW 03, Panggang Island Urban Village.

"The results showed no circulation of expired liquor, food, or beverages or any damaged packaging. All inspected products were declared safe for consumption," he said.

Edi emphasized that monitoring will continue to be carried out periodically during Ramadan, including on other populated islands in the Seribu Utara Islands region.

"This activity will continue. We hope that business owners' awareness will increase, creating a conducive environment during Ramadan," he hoped.
